The All Progressives Congress has successfully uploaded all its candidates for the 2027 general elections into the Independent National Electoral Commission portal ahead of the original deadline.
The development was contained in press release made available to TheQuickPR and signed by Abimbola Tooki, Special Adviser to the APC National Chairman on Media and Information Strategy.
The National Chairman of the party, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, disclosed this at the weekend, saying the exercise covered all elective positions from State House of Assembly to the Presidency.
Yilwatda said the early completion showed the party’s organisational strength, discipline and readiness for the polls. He added that while the APC met the initial deadline of Saturday, August 8, 2026, several other parties sought and got an extension to Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
“The APC has once again demonstrated that we are prepared for the responsibility of governing Nigeria. We did not wait until the last minute. We planned ahead, coordinated our structures and ensured that our candidates were successfully uploaded before the expiration of the original deadline,” he said.
According to the National Chairman, coordinating nomination, documentation and submission of thousands of candidates across 36 states and the FCT is a test of capacity that the APC has passed.
He said the 2027 election will require more than popularity, noting that parties must also show competence, planning and internal coordination.
Yilwatda cautioned Nigerians against parties that make big promises but cannot manage basic processes. He said governance requires discipline and the ability to meet deadlines.
The APC chairman commended the National Working Committee, state chapters, candidates and party officials for the teamwork that made the early upload possible.
He said the achievement gives the party more time to focus on campaign coordination, voter mobilisation, policy communication and reconciliation ahead of 2027.
Yilwatda added that the party will continue to build structures to ensure Nigerians make their choice in 2027 based on competence, stability and national development.
