We Won’t Relent Until Every Community Feels Good Governance — Rep. Shagaya Declares at Road Commissioning

“This is one of several projects we have delivered across Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency. Our commitment to addressing the infrastructure and development needs of our people remains firm. The work continues, and we will not relent until every community feels the impact of good governance,” he said.

Rep. Muktar Tolani Shagaya has declared that he will not relent until every community across Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency feels the impact of good governance, as he commissioned a newly constructed one-kilometre road in Olohunlambe Community, Ilorin.

The road, located along Pilgrim Road, opposite Gaa-Odota Junction, was delivered with drainage facilities, stone base, priming and asphalt to improve movement and provide safer access for residents, motorists and businesses.

In a statement made available to TheQuickPR, Rep. Shagaya said the project demonstrates his commitment to delivering practical interventions that respond directly to the needs of communities across the constituency.

“This is one of several projects we have delivered across Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency. Our commitment to addressing the infrastructure and development needs of our people remains firm. The work continues, and we will not relent until every community feels the impact of good governance,” he said.

For years, residents and businesses in Olohunlambe and neighbouring communities faced difficult road conditions, particularly during the rainy season. The new road is expected to ease the movement of people and goods, improve access to homes and markets, and support economic activities within the area.

The drainage infrastructure is also expected to improve the flow of water and reduce some of the difficulties residents previously experienced while using the road during the rainy season.

Rep. Shagaya said the intervention aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on infrastructure and grassroots development while complementing the development efforts of the Kwara State Government under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

He commended the engineers, contractors, community leaders and other stakeholders for their roles in the successful delivery of the project, assuring residents that efforts to attract more development projects to Ilorin West and Asa would continue.
