The Chairman, Board of Trustees of Sobi 101.9FM, Dr. Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha, has expressed deep grief over the passing of the Grand Khalifah, Sheikh Abdulqodir Muhammad Kamaludeen Al-Adaby, and Alhaji Alabi Nuhu Muhammad Jagunma, father of the President of the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), Alhaji Muhammad Uthman Jagunma.
In a condolence statement personally signed by Dr. Mustapha, he described the two deaths as painful losses that extend far beyond the immediate families — touching the Ilorin Emirate, the Muslim Ummah, and all whose lives the departed had influenced.
“I received with deep sadness the news of these departures. These are losses that cut deep — not just for the families, but for our Emirate and our faith community,” Dr. Mustapha said.
Paying tribute to the Grand Khalifah, Dr. Mustapha described Sheikh Kamaludeen Al-Adaby as a man who devoted his entire life to the propagation of Islam, spiritual guidance, and the preservation of sound religious teachings — a scholar whose impact on the faith lives of countless Muslims in Ilorin and beyond remains immeasurable.
Of Alhaji Alabi Nuhu Muhammad Jagunma, Dr. Mustapha said the elder statesman lived a life marked by honour, dignity, and values worthy of emulation — a life, he noted, that left behind a legacy deserving of deep respect and celebration.
On behalf of himself, his family, and the entire Rebirth Movement family, Dr. Mustapha extended heartfelt condolences to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, the Ilorin Emirate Council, the immediate family and followers of Sheikh Kamaludeen Al-Adaby, and the family of Alhaji Muhammad Uthman Jagunma.
“Their impacts will continue to resonate in the hearts of those whose lives they touched. At moments like this, we take solace in the will of Almighty Allah, knowing fully that every soul shall taste death,” Dr. Mustapha said.
He prayed that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgives the shortcomings of the deceased, expands and illuminates their graves, and grants them the highest station in paradise — Aljanatul Firdaus.
Dr. Mustapha equally prayed for strength and fortitude for the bereaved families, the Ilorin Emirate, and the wider Muslim Ummah as they navigate the grief of these irreplaceable losses.
