Atiku Youth Wing Dumps Structure, Backs Tinubu for 2027

The City Boy Movement has announced the affiliation of The Bridge For Renewed Hope, a youth platform made up of prominent leaders and members of the former Atiku Youth Wing, into its growing network of support groups working for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

The development was disclosed in a press statement signed by O’tega Ogra and made available to TheQuickPR on Thursday. The statement described the move as a significant step in youth political engagement and a reflection of increasing support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda among young Nigerians.

According to the statement, the affiliation followed a series of engagements between both groups in Abuja, which culminated in the decision of leaders and members of the former Atiku Youth Wing to join The Bridge For Renewed Hope and work for President Tinubu under the broader City Boy Movement family.

Speaking on the development, the Director General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, said the affiliation underscored the growing appeal of President Tinubu’s leadership among Nigerian youths.

“This affiliation demonstrates that young Nigerians are increasingly placing national interest above political labels. The City Boy Movement was established to build a broad-based platform for youth mobilisation, leadership and national development in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and we welcome all Nigerians who share that vision,” Shoga said.

He added, “The decision by leaders and members of the former Atiku Youth Wing to join this effort and work for President Tinubu is both significant and encouraging. It reinforces our belief that the future of Nigeria will be shaped not by division, but by collaboration among young people committed to progress, reform and nation building.”

Also commenting on the development, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital Communications, Engagement and New Media Strategy and Deputy Director General, Media, Communications and Public Affairs of the City Boy Movement, O’tega Ogra, said the move demonstrated the willingness of young Nigerians to rise above partisan interests in pursuit of national development.

“Political competition is a feature of democracy. Nation building is a responsibility that transcends politics. What makes this development noteworthy is that young Nigerians who once worked under a different political platform have now chosen to work for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the City Boy Movement,” Otega said.

He added that the former Atiku Youth Wing members had found “common ground around the future of Nigeria, around economic opportunity, and around the consolidation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.”

Otega further stated that the City Boy Movement would continue to provide a platform for young Nigerians from different regions, faiths and political backgrounds to contribute to national development and support the success of President Tinubu’s administration.

The group noted that The Bridge For Renewed Hope joins a growing list of affiliate organisations within the City Boy Movement family working to deepen youth participation, strengthen grassroots mobilisation and expand support for President Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda across the country.

The City Boy Movement also reaffirmed its commitment to welcoming youth organisations, support groups, professional associations and civic platforms that share its vision of a stronger, safer, more prosperous and united Nigeria.
