The Chairman Board of Trustees of Sobi101.9fm, Dr. Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha, has congratulated Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani on his appointment as Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR.
The appointment, which follows a rigorous selection process among distinguished Islamic scholars, marks a significant moment in the spiritual leadership of Ilorin Emirate.
Dr. Mustapha, in a statement made available to The Quick PR, described the Emir’s selection as a choice rooted in careful consideration and divine guidance. He commended the appointment, saying it reflects a commitment to ensuring that the Muslim community in Ilorin is led by a scholar of exceptional caliber.
“The appointment of Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki symbolizes his scholarly excellence and spiritual maturity. He comes from a distinguished lineage of Islamic leadership,” Dr. Mustapha said.
Mustapha recognized Sheikh Dasuki’s extensive background in Islamic education and community service. He noted the new Chief Imam’s qualifications from Al-Azhar University in Cairo and his Master’s degree from Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin.
While extending warm wishes to the new Chief Imam, Dr. Mustapha also paid tribute to the Emir. He described His Royal Highness as a visionary leader whose wisdom guides the Ilorin Emirate.
“I join His Royal Highness in praying for Sheikh Bashir Dasuki. May Allah grant him wisdom, strength, and clarity to lead the Muslim Ummah in Ilorin with honor and integrity.
