GOMBE 2027: Alkali Submits Guber Forms, Taps Ministerial Experience for State Leadership

Former Minister of Transportation, Senator Sa’id Ahmed Alkali, has officially submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, in Abuja.

Speaking during the submission exercise, Senator Alkali stated his decision to run is driven by commitment to serve the people.

“My decision to run is driven by a commitment to serve the people and strengthen the party’s impact across the country,” the Senator said.

The former Minister emphasized his readiness to bring his experience to the table.

“I am ready to bring my experience as both a lawmaker and a former minister to ensure progress and development,” Senator Alkali stated.

Recall thequickpr.com had earlier reported Alkali picked the Gombe APC gubernatorial forms on 29 April, 2026 which marks his formal entry into the contest.

In Abuja, Senator Alkali was joined by a group of supporters and party loyalists as he presented the documents to the party’s national leadership. The APC national officers received the forms and wished him a successful campaign as the party prepares for its primary elections.
