The lawmaker representing Apapa Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawal Aina Musibau, has emerged APC flag bearer for the constituency following Wednesday primary election.
In a result made available to TheQuickPR, party members voted across all five wards. Ward F recorded 1,345 votes. Ward G returned 1,312 votes. Ward H produced 3,091 votes. Ward I received 997 votes while Ward J recorded 953 votes.
Stakeholders noted that the massive turnout in the five wards demonstrated participation from across the constituency.
Official collation by accredited APC Electoral Officials shows Hon. Lawal Aina Musibau polled 7,698 votes. Other aspirants combined to poll 3,457 votes.
Recall in 2023, Hon. Lawal won the APC primary for Apapa Constituency II. He defeated Hon. Olumuyiwa in the contest. The 2026 primary saw him face Hon. Olumuyiwa again. This time, he polled 7,698 votes to secure the ticket once more.
The repeated victory against the same opponent marks the second consecutive primary win for Hon. Lawal.
Since his inauguration to the 10th Legislative Assembly of Lagos State, Hon. Lawal has served as Chairman of the House Committee on Health.
The committee oversees the Lagos State Ministry of Health, the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA), and primary healthcare centres across the state.
His committee work covers implementation of health policies and medical infrastructure. He has inspected health facilities and monitored government-sponsored medical programs including free surgery initiatives.
Accredited APC Electoral Officials confirmed the primary results. Hon. Lawal Aina Musibau is the duly affirmed APC flag bearer for Apapa Constituency II.
He will now proceed to the 2027 general elections as the party’s candidate for the constituency.
