“Sacrifice and Patience Will Rebuild Nigeria” — APC Chairman Yilwatda Charges Muslims on Eid-el-Kabir

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has congratulated Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, describing the festival as a sacred reminder of faith, sacrifice, obedience, and total devotion to Almighty Allah.

Yilwatda, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, and made available tomorrow TheQuickPR, said the spiritual lessons of the season carry deep relevance for Nigeria at this critical stage of its national development.

“Eid-el-Kabir symbolises the virtues of selflessness, unity, compassion, and total submission to the will of God, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim. These are not just religious values — they are the very foundations upon which a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria must be built,” the APC chairman said.

Yilwatda stressed that sacrifice, patience, perseverance, and collective responsibility are essential ingredients for national renewal, urging Nigerians — particularly the Muslim Ummah — to sustain these values beyond the season of celebration and apply them to the broader task of nation-building.

He called on citizens to promote peaceful coexistence, national unity, and harmony across ethnic, religious, and political divides, noting that the bonds of love and brotherhood strengthened during Sallah must endure long after the festivities.

The APC National Chairman also used the occasion to appeal to the Muslim community and Nigerians at large to throw their weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing reform agenda, which he described as a necessary and deliberate path toward sustainable economic growth, improved infrastructure, national security, and long-term prosperity.

“The reforms may demand patience and shared sacrifice from all of us, but they are the bold and necessary steps required to restore economic stability, strengthen our institutions, and secure a better future for generations yet unborn,” Yilwatda said.

He expressed firm confidence that under President Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria would emerge stronger, more resilient, and increasingly competitive on the global stage.

The APC chairman further appealed to Nigerians to channel the spiritual energy of the Eid season into fervent prayers for the peace, unity, security, and progress of the country, as well as for wisdom and divine guidance for leaders at all levels of governance.

Yilwatda prayed that Almighty Allah accept the sacrifices, supplications, and acts of worship of all the faithful, and grant every Nigerian family peace, good health, and abundant blessings during and beyond the celebration.

He wished all Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the wider global community a peaceful, joyful, and memorable Eid-el-Kabir.
