The All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the Ifelodun/Oyun/Offa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Qs. Theophilus Ayo Apere, FNIQS, has extended sincere and heartfelt Eid-el-Adha greetings to Muslim faithful in across Kwara State, and throughout Nigeria, describing the festival as a timeless call to a life of purpose, selflessness, and devotion.
Apere, who is also the Founder of the Apere Family Foundation, said the occasion of Eid-el-Adha carries a message that transcends religion — one that speaks directly to the kind of leadership, character, and community spirit that Nigeria urgently needs at this moment in its history.
“Eid-el-Adha is not just a celebration. It is a conversation between faith and action. It asks each one of us a simple but searching question — what are you willing to give up for something greater than yourself?” Apere said.
Reflecting on the spiritual significance of the Day of Arafat, the foundation of the Eid season, Apere described it as humanity’s most powerful reminder that genuine devotion is measured not in words, but in willingness — the willingness to serve, to sacrifice, and to submit to a purpose larger than personal ambition.
He called on Muslims and Nigerians of all faiths to draw practical lessons from the story of Prophet Ibrahim — lessons of courage in the face of uncertainty, trust in the face of the unknown, and the rare grace of choosing duty over convenience.
Apere also appealed for prayers for lasting peace, national cohesion, and economic relief, noting that Nigeria’s most pressing challenges — insecurity, poverty, and inequality — can only be solved by a generation of leaders who are genuinely willing to sacrifice personal comfort for collective progress.
The philanthropist and professional quantity surveyor wished all Muslim families joyful celebrations, praying that Allah accept their devotion, multiply their blessings, and grant Nigeria the healing and unity it deeply deserves.
