The Al-Khalifah Humanitarian & Community Initiatives Foundation has opened registration for the Future Scholars Quiz Competition 2026 – Kwara Central Edition, a one-day academic contest designed for Senior Secondary School students attending community-based summer lessons during the ongoing holiday.
In a press statement made available to TheQuickPR, the Foundation said registration would run from Thursday, 3 September to Thursday, 10 September 2026, with communities across Ilorin West, Ilorin East, Ilorin South and Asa Local Government Areas invited to take part.
Speaking on the initiative, the Foundation said the competition was designed to promote academic excellence, healthy competition, teamwork and unity among young learners across Kwara Central.

According to the Foundation, each participating community is expected to nominate three Senior Secondary School students from its community-based summer lesson to represent it at the competition.
The Foundation explained that the initiative was conceived to make the ongoing summer holiday more productive for students, while also creating an opportunity for communities to discover, encourage and celebrate promising young minds.
“Beyond winning prizes, the competition seeks to inspire students to take greater interest in learning, build confidence and interact with their peers from other communities in an atmosphere of friendship and healthy academic rivalry,” it added.
The Foundation therefore called on community leaders, summer lesson coordinators, parents, teachers and other education stakeholders across Kwara Central to support eligible students and ensure their communities are duly represented.
It urged interested communities to complete their registration between 3 and 10 September 2026, noting that the organising committee would review all entries after submission and contact successful communities with further information on screening, accreditation and participation.
