The Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, has tasked a newly inaugurated 15-member Planning Committee to profile and coordinate the proposed two-day City Boy Movement Support Groups Summit 2026.

According to the statement, the Summit is designed to provide a structured platform for engaging the leadership of duly verified support groups aligned with the Movement. It is expected to strengthen collaboration, improve operational effectiveness, and coordinate the contributions of support groups to CBM’s membership-development and grassroots-mobilisation objectives in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda and the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
Hon. Gambo Manzo, Deputy Director-General, Mobilisation, will chair the committee, while Dr. Martha U. Agba, National Director, Support Group Registration, Verification and Supervision, will serve as Secretary.
Other members of the committee include Hon. Tosin Odufuwa, National Secretary; Hon. Adim Bobo Akpapunam, DDG, Policy, Research and Strategy; Hon. O’tega Ogra, DDG, Media, Communication and Public Affairs; S. C. Udemezue, National Legal Adviser and Chief Compliance Officer; Hon. Isaac Balami, National Director, Special Duties and CBM Governing Board Member; Hon. Nkem Nwodo, National Director, Finance and Treasury; Hon. Ayodele W. Fatusin, National Director, Membership and Network Development; Hon. Alex Okeke, National Director, Events and National Engagements; Hon. Ibrahim Ndakpoto, National Director, Protocol and Logistics; Hon. Wale Bolanta, National Director, Data, Technology and Strategic Analytics; Seun Olu-White, Esq., National Director, Evaluation and Impact Assessment; Hon. Kola Alabi, National Director, Security and Intelligence; and Hon. Khalihat Bello, National Deputy Director, Support Group Registration, Verification and Supervision.
The Committee’s mandate includes identifying, verifying and profiling all support groups aligned with the Movement; establishing participation and accreditation criteria; developing an authoritative support-groups database; and proposing the theme, objectives and programme of the Summit.
It will also recommend strategies for integrating verified support groups into CBM’s nationwide membership registration and grassroots-mobilisation programmes, and develop frameworks for logistics, security, welfare, publicity, funding, legal-compliance, data-protection and risk-management. The committee is further tasked to prepare any declaration, partnership framework or code of engagement for adoption at the Summit.
The inaugural meeting is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2026 at the Office of the Director-General, CBM National Headquarters, Abuja.
The committee has seven days from inauguration to submit a comprehensive report to the Director-General. The report is expected to include a verified inventory of support groups, proposed dates and venue, detailed Summit programme, list of participants and speakers, budget and funding proposals, implementation timetable, responsibility matrix, and other instruments for the successful conduct of the Summit.
CBM said the initiative represents a major step towards consolidating its relationship with affiliated support groups and transforming their collective strength into a coordinated, disciplined and effective nationwide mobilisation force.
