The Ayo Apere Campaign Organization has formally addressed supporters following the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election held Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency.
In a statement signed by the Director General of Ayo Apere Campaign Organization, Hon. Adebayo Ige Yusuf, and made available to TheQuickPR, the campaign organization expressed concern about significant irregularities marring the primary process while commending the overwhelming turnout of supporters across the 41 wards of the constituency.
“The massive turnout witnessed across the constituency is a clear testament to the widespread acceptance of the candidacy of Qs. Theophilus Ayo Apere and the shared belief in our vision for purposeful and people-oriented representation,” the organization stated,” Hon. Ige stressed.
According to the team Director General, the campaign organization revealed that the primary election was characterized by significant irregularities and procedural lapses. These flaws, the organization noted, undermined the credibility and integrity of the exercise.
“Reports from campaign agents and supporters across several wards indicated that the process fell short of standards expected in a democratic primary election,” the statement read in part.
The Ayo Apere Campaign Organization acknowledged the disappointment and concerns expressed by many supporters following the primary outcome.
“We acknowledge the disappointment and concerns expressed by many of our supporters,” the organization stated, indicating awareness of the gravity of the situation.
The campaign organization further assured supporters that the team is pursuing every legitimate and lawful avenue to address the identified irregularities, while emphasizing its unwavering commitment to justice, fairness, and democratic ideals.
“We are actively exploring every legitimate and lawful avenue available to address these irregularities. Our commitment to justice, fairness, and the democratic ideals of our great party remains unwavering,” the statement read.
The Ayo Apere Campaign Organization appealed to supporters to remain calm, peaceful, and steadfast as consultations continue and appropriate actions are undertaken.
“Our next line of action will be communicated in due course upon the conclusion of ongoing consultations and strategic engagements,” the statement disclosed.
Meanwhile, former Chief Press Secretary to Kwara State Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye was declared winner of the House of Representatives primary for Ifelodun/Oyun/Offa Federal Constituency held yesterday.
